I cried on almost every take of this song. For me, this one was by far the most emotional on the CD. It was written over a series of many nights when I would put my youngest daughter to bed - and she would cry because she couldn't understand why her mother had ended our relationship. I would do my best to explain, holding her hand each night until she fell asleep. Afterwards, I wrote about the things we talked about and this song became her lullabye.
