Shouldn't we all have one of these? This song was originally inspired by a beautiful musician friend of mine, Disza. She called for Gerard one morning - Optimistic he would bring her breakfast. She explained that it must have been his day off. He didn't appear that morning - Disza keeps calling nonetheless. Maybe one day he will magically arrive.

Oddly enough, I saw a friend of mine 2 days later. She was with her new boyfriend. It was raining as we left a shopping mall. He ran to get the car so she wouldn't have to get wet. "Wow!" I thought, "she REALLY HAS the butler thing going on". It reminded me of a relationship that I had where I was 'that guy'. So my sarcasm came out and the song materialized.
