Neugebauer’s Art is Inducted Into the Web’s Number One Online Gallery

Mill Valley, Calif. – October 14, 2008 – Jeff Neugebauer, an ex dot-com CEO and a rising star painter, based in Mill Valley, California, announces his inclusion in the Images of Eyes Gallery. Images of Eyes is one of the Web’s foremost online galleries exhibiting the very best figurative artists in the world.

Eight of Neugebauer’s uniquely “real-surreal” figurative paintings were chosen by the Web’s number one ranked gallery, Images of Eyes. The line-up includes “Raven’s Follow Men into War”, “In Your Image”, “Move the Box”, “Working for the Man”, “NeoSlave”, “The Love you Keep”, “The Secret”, and “Trinity”. A link to a time-lapse video of Neugebauer painting “In Your Image” is also included. The images are displayed in high resolution and have been made available for viewers to download and print. The gallery will feature Jeff Neugebauer’s paintings for about 2 weeks and then the exhibition will become part of their permanent collection afterwards.

According to Images of Eyes Gallery owner, Gene Cooley, “The goal has always been to find the best artwork and publish it. I'm a happy man that I found these works and can publish them and share them with others”.

In response to the invitation to exhibit his work in Images of Eyes Gallery, Jeff Neugebauer said, “I felt honored to be included in the gallery and I'm really impressed that they have had over 9.5 MILLION people hit the site - what an amazing accomplishment! It is very humbling for me to have the opportunity for my paintings to be shown beside such other talented artists”.

About the Images of Eyes Gallery

The Images of Eyes Gallery is the internet's only fine art gallery that exhibits images and paintings of eyes by international artists.  There are two distinctly different and separate galleries with a connecting subject theme: every image in both galleries has one or more eyes, or at least suggests the presence of an eye!  Both galleries exhibit contemporary art work, figurative paintings, oil and watercolor paintings, portraits, charcoal and ink drawings, lithographs, sculpture, digital art work, and other fine art content. The gallery is international in scope and interest, with exhibits representing artists from Algeria to Zimbabwe.

About Jeff Neugebauer

Jeff Neugebauer has been drawing and painting since he was a child. He has continued this passion throughout his life. Following the Florentine techniques of the Renaissance, Neugebauer has incorporated the knowledge of the great masters into his painting.  His work has gained traction among private collectors and museums including the permanent collection of the Arizona State University Art Museum and the Haarmann Reimer Corporate Museum in West Germany. Prior to painting full-time, Neugebauer pioneered the multi-media technology innovation beginning in 1990. He applied his creativity and artistic talents in conjunction with his knowledge and understanding of technology to produce computer-aided designs, animation, and interactive CD-ROMS. As founder and CEO of SpiralWest, Neugebauer led the company to be one of the first in the multi-media industry to develop Web sites and build brand awareness for high profile companies such as Time Warner, Wells Fargo, Intel and Netscape.

Jeff Neugebauer developed his masterful technique through painstaking study of the Renaissance masters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael, and Caravaggio.  Integrating modern, philosophical and often profound concepts with those techniques, Neugebauer’s paintings are similar to the allegorical work by contemporary master Odd Nerdrum. “Ravens Follow Men Into War” is a deeply thought provoking self-portrait by Neugebauer about contemplating the battles we choose in our lives. The painting parallels Nerdrum’s mysteriously intriguing self-portraits.
