Solo Exhibition as Renaissance Painter of the Present Opens on September 13, 2007
Mill Valley, Calif. – September 5, 2007 – Jeff Neugebauer, an ex dot-com CEO and a rising star in fine art, based in Mill Valley, Marin County, announces his first solo museum exhibition. Recognized as a Renaissance painter of the present by the Museum, Neugebauer is delivering a speech on the opening night, September 13 at the Bakersfield Museum of Art. The Museum will also be hosting a coinciding exhibition entitled: Rebirth of the Classical Past: Master Drawings and Etchings from the Renaissance to Baroque. For information about the shows please visit www.bmoa.org and for information about Jeff Neugebauer please visit www.jeffneugebauer.com
Jeff Neugebauer developed his masterful technique through painstaking study of the Renaissance masters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Raphael, and Caravaggio. Integrating modern, philosophical and often profound concepts with those techniques, Neugebauer’s paintings are similar to the allegorical work by contemporary master Odd Nerdrum. “Ravens Follow Men Into War” is a deeply thought provoking self-portrait by Neugebauer about contemplating the battles we choose in our lives. The painting parallels Nerdrum’s mysteriously intriguing self-portraits.
